I'm guessing that everytime Beyonce releases a new single, her gloved alter-ego shall follow suit. I like that concept...
First up is Halo, the power ballad from the I Am side of the album. This disc contained the more emotional, sensitive contributions and this is definitely one of the better songs on that volume. The video features actor Michael Ealy and does justice to represent the song, which describes the far reaches of true love. The interactions between the two leads are playful, innocent and loving, and the sincerity shines through, kinda like a halo...
Next up is the video for Diva, a track that attempts to showcase Beyonce's - scratch that - Sasha Fierce's swag. The video succeeds where the song does not. It's edgy, it's crisp and she shows exactly how fierce Sasha can be. Fashionably speaking it's different, it's eye-catching and there's a lot of creativity in the shots and the cinematography. And we all know Sasha's always flanked by her swag girls, but she's never outdone. I think this was a great introduction to Sasha Fierce and provide some....hmmm.... character development.
