I can't say how much I love this song... it sounds so fresh. As for the video, a couple things I noticed... I'm guessing his fans weren't feeling the clean shaven look, so Mario ditched the baldie for a more familiar look. Secondly, this video is very fashionable - I need one of those coats in my closet ASAP, the black AND the gray one. Nice mature vibe for the video, goes with the song and I'm diggin it just as much, a good look for the homie from B-More. Thinkin About You is the second official single from D.N.A. and the album is definitely a great one, check out the review here.

I am so glad to see that Mario realized that the Post-Chemo look was not for him. Growing his hair in and not using blackout for the first time, since he cut his cornrolls off is a major accomplishment. It seems apparent that his skin issues have healed also, because his makeup artist chose not to pile on all of the foundation and concealer that he has used throughout his career. This new video makes me almost forget about how he had been looking and especially his major fail at the BET Awards.
I love the fact that his Wardrobe Stylist did not seek to make major fashion statements with this video; dressing him in a 1970's wool herringbone overcoat with a 1990's homage to Jodeci's signature black boots, oversized pant and shirt, finished off with a simple black belt with clasp buckle is reminiscent to what an ordinary man would wear on any given day. I also appreciated the simplistic, not iced-out toolery (male jewlery); him wearing two leather rope bracelets and a simple curb link bracelet, again connected him to his audience. His look in this video allowed men and women to appreciate it. Most men that are not concerned with following the status quo are used to mixing differing fashion genres to make a comfortable, yet stylish wardrobe, and his Wardrobe Stylist used this to correct the image that he sprung on us this past summer.
I applaud Mario for listening to his fans and realizing the wannabe thug questionable closet gay look was not a good idea. On the swagger scale, I would give this video a 7.8.

This video goes back to my point that good outerwear combined with a solid simple outfit can really make a man look mature and put together. More young guys today should take cues from this video's styling. The man makes the clothes and it shouldn't be the other way around. That gray coat is INSANE and I like that the style doesn't detract from the video, it all flows together. The song itself was excellent, might have to go buy this now.
